I've been traveling cross country with a stop in Henderson to visit my daughter. The car needed an oil change and I didn't want to go to those franchise places that try to sell you everything under the sun when all you want is an oil change. So, I went with a Groupon for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised. This is a one-man operation. I called and asked if I could come in an hour. He said, "sure." I made it earlier and he took my car right inside, immediately, and did the oil change. Once there, I decided to check out the other Yelp reviews and was so happy that they confirmed my first impressions. I told him that I don't live locally but that my daughter does and she doesn't have a mechanic. He gave me a punch out card where I can buy 4 oil changes and get the 5th free. And, the price of the oil changes are $19.99. He punched the card for me and told me I could give it to my daughter. That was so nice of him ;) I told him that I will have my daughter bring her car to him. I'm so glad this works out. Now, I don't have to worry about my daughter getting ripped off when she needs work on her car.。

I was first time customer. Mechanic is very honest, kind and reasonable price. I was fully satisfied. He will be my mechanic from now on. Also his shop is east side near mall. It is convenient location people who live this side of town.

The owner of Nippon ROCKS! Not realizing that he is typically closed on the weekends I called on a Friday evening asking for a Saturday morning appointment and without hesitation he agreed to do my oil change at 9am. The next morning at 7am I decided to use the number listed on his website for text purposes only in order to see what time he would be in the shop hoping that he would say earlier than 9am, he responded minutes later saying he would be in at 8am and to go ahead and come in. I arrived at 830am and was greeted by a really friendly man we spoke for a while about how he recently relocated his business from LA 10 months ago and then he got started on my car. Believe it or not he started my oil change at about 840am and was handing me my keys by 905am ...only 25 MINUTES and I was driving away. He charges $20-$30 less for a synthetic oil change than anywhere else I have seen and on top of that he even gave me a stamp card (buy 4 oil changes get the 5th free) UNBELIEVABLE!!! I drove 25 miles for his groupon and after my experience I will never go anywhere else. Welcome to Las Vegas Nippon Auto Works!!!!

I've finally found a mechanic I actually trust!
My husband and I had been concerned about our car for the last 2 years since we discovered there was heavy sludging in the engine. Every quote we received to replace the engine was expensive and we didn't trust any of the mechanics we spoke with so we just kept putting off the decision.
Last month, however, things got much worse and we knew we couldn't put off the decision any longer. After trying again in vain to find a mechanic we could trust not to rip us off, my husband's friend told him about Dave and Nippon Auto Works. After talking to Dave in detail we finally felt confident we had finally found a quality mechanic we could actually trust.
I've never met a more sincere, honest, and hard working person in my life. My husband and I share one car, so Dave quickly arranged to get a replacement engine out of L.A. the same week (and not just any engine, but a high-quality replacement engine from Japan). He personally drove down to pick it up and then spent the entire weekend, when he is normally closed, to get the new engine installed. Nippon Auto Works is a small shop and Dave does all of the repairs himself, so we actually felt really bad that our single car situation meant Dave had to completely change his schedule to help us. No other mechanic would have done this for us but Dave was genuinely concerned that we would have to pay for an extended car rental so he went above and beyond to help us out in our difficult situation.
The car is driving great now and we saved a ton of money by replacing the engine instead of buying a new car. Dave even replaced two belts, a hose, and the spark plugs, when he changed out the engine, and all total it still came out to less than what other mechanics quoted us just to replace the engine.
We feel blessed to have found Dave and we'll never bring our car to anyone else. It's so refreshing to meet someone that is passionate about what they do and truly cares about their customers. Thanks again Dave you're the best!

I called, told him what oil I needed ( mine is 0W 20, not common) I believe it is the owner Dave who is assisting me. I was able to make appointment for same day, he got me in as soon as I arrived. Very nice man, I would bring my car back and pay full price.
